“Shy” has never been a word to describe me. My aptitude for writing and storytelling came at a young age, and it has continued to be a skill I try and constantly improve. While earning a Bachelor’s in Broadcasting, I worked at the South Bend, Ind. ABC affiliate in a fast-paced environment writing content for on-air and online. After that, I accepted a role with Farm Journal Broadcast to bolster their online presence, distribute their content with OTT, and develop an active social media presence to encourage audience development.
To enhance my communication toolkit, I graduated with my Master’s in communication with a concentration in strategic communication and public relations from Purdue University in May 2019. Working full time and pursuing an advanced degree was hard work, but I’m always up for a challenge. In August 2019, I took my broadcasting skills to the forefront and became the news director for the Michigan Ag Today radio network. Michigan is the second most diverse state in the country, and my coverage reflects that. Not only do I interview, edit, report stories for radio and web, but I also produce our daily podcast, which is Michigan's only daily ag news podcast. |
